Rev. Bill Mallory, Minister of Music
Bill comes to Moody United Methodist Church with over twenty-five years of music ministry experience, serving churches in Louisiana and Alabama. Prior to that, he was a high school band director / music supervisor in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. He has seminary studies beyond his Master of Church Music degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His education also includes a Bachelor of Music Education from Troy University and graduate work at Jacksonville State University. His teaching career spanned students from the elementary grades through graduate and post graduate levels.
Bill is married to Saundra. They served as Admissions Ambassadors for Birmingham Southern College while their daughter, Lauren, was a student (now a BSC graduate). He has served as Vice-President of the Greater Irondale Chamber of Commerce and has been on the board of directors for a number of years. He is the chaplain for the board.
Hobbies include family time, fishing, computers, and music. He is a member of The CenturyMen, an auditioned professional choir made of choral directors from over twenty states (www.thecenturymen.com). Bill’s desire is to fulfill God’s calling through the exercising of God given gifts, talents, and acquired abilities in ministering to and within the body of Christ and enhancing Kingdom growth using music as a primary tool.
