Tim Bailey, Senior Pastor

Tim is a graduate from Oxford High School. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Jacksonville State University. He received his Master of Divinity Degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University.

Tim became an Ordained Elder in the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2003. He serves as the Cheaha District Disaster Coordinator and on the North Alabama Conference Disaster Team. Also, he serves as a Chaplain for the Moody Police Department.

Tim is married to Sarah from Carrollton, Alabama. They have three children: Justin, Chase and Molly. Hobbies include: spending time with family, golfing, shopping, etc.
 

Rev. Donna Godwin

Donna is the youngest of five children. She has one daughter, J. Alicia Godwin. Donna is a licensed local pastor in the United Methodist Church. She has worked with youth for over ten years at Huffman United Methodist Church as Youth Coordinator, Youth Counselor and Interim Youth Director. After receiving her Local Pastor License in 2004, she served as Pastor of Young Adult Ministries at Huffman United Methodist Church. 

For many years she served as Drama Ministries Coordinator at Huffman UMC. She, also, works at the Law Firm of Pittman, Dutton, Kirby and Hellums since 1988 as legal assistant/secretary and trial presentation coordinator.  

As one of our pastors, Donna will focus on young adult and family ministries. With this addition to our ministerial staff, we will be equipping ourselves to grow more disciples of Jesus Christ by Serving God by Serving Others.

Rev. Bill Mallory, Minister of Music

Bill comes to Moody United Methodist Church with over twenty-five years of music ministry experience, serving churches in Louisiana and Alabama. Prior to that, he was a high school band director / music supervisor in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. He has seminary studies beyond his Master of Church Music degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His education also includes a Bachelor of Music Education from Troy University and graduate work at Jacksonville State University. His teaching career spanned students from the elementary grades through graduate and post graduate levels.

Bill is married to Saundra. They served as Admissions Ambassadors for Birmingham Southern College while their daughter, Lauren, was a student (now a BSC graduate). He has served as Vice-President of the Greater Irondale Chamber of Commerce and has been on the board of directors for a number of years. He is the chaplain for the board.

Hobbies include family time, fishing, computers, and music. He is a member of The CenturyMen, an auditioned professional choir made of choral directors from over twenty states (www.thecenturymen.com).  Bill’s desire is to fulfill God’s calling through the exercising of God given gifts, talents, and acquired abilities in ministering to and within the body of Christ and enhancing Kingdom growth using music as a primary tool.
 

Carol Karrasch, Organist

Carol is married to Rick Karrasch. She has 2 grown children; 2 step-children; and 6 grandchildren.. She started playing at age 6. She has been playing at Moody UMC since 2001. 

Carol is a graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School. She has earned a degree from Jefferson State Community College with an Associate in Science Degree in Business and an Applied Science Degree in Management. She is a graduate from Birmingham Southern College with a degree in Business Administration concentrating on Management and a minor in Psychology. 

Her hobbies include scrapbooking, card making and decorating cakes. She enjoys time with my Pomeranian, Prissy, and my family.
